Computer Power Supply and Plants?

I am doing a science project for my AP Biology Class and i came up with and idea, but i dont know if it would work or not. I was going to use an unplugged computers psu( they don't lose their charge even when unplugged, and it can kill someone) And channel the left over power from a 350watt psu into a house plant. i am planning to take observations on how that affects the cells of the plant in various parts. Would that work or do nothing, or would that just make the plant explode. And also what would i need to safely handle and open psu
