Computer fried...used knock off power supply?

I bought some cheap knock off power cord (from hong kong) for my toshiba laptop. Put laptop down for a minute, came back and it was completely dead. The power supply smelled and was leaking a fluid. I'm positive the knock off is the problem and have learned my lesson. When I plug in the laptop with the right power cord, the lights come on and the fan runs, but nothing else. I have removed the battery and am working soley off the good power supply. What part would you suspect first?

1. im not to sure what your asking but its kind of obvious that the knock of power cord is up to no good. Tbh i think yuor laptop is toast and yuo should complaain to ebay and they will eat the hon kong who sold yuo taht thing.
