Is an Apple Mac. notebook worth buying?

And so I've been using an Acer Laptop for 3 years now and it works fine. It's my first laptop and I'm not the kind to get a new laptop every year. It's not just financially impossible for me. So I went to that store and I saw a beautiful Apple Mac. laptop and I fell in love with it! What are the advantages and the drawbacks of getting one? I mean apart from the financial part... Oh I am not so much interested on gaming, I want to use it for internet, downloading music, burning DVDs and CDs, all that kind of stuff.

  1. Well, Macs are overpriced. I use the term "overpriced" instead of "expensive" because "expensive" sometimes implies that you're paying more for a better product, which is not necessarily the case here. Apple just charges more. Period. Macs are also terrible for gaming, don't have a right-mouse button, and I personally find most Mac software cumbersome to use and restrictive. Of course, Acer isn't exactly a killer brand either so it's up to you, though I'd throw down that money on a killer PC laptop if it were me.
  2. Drawback, none(exceot for no gaming and the price). Apple computers are well built. In my opinion they are made better than any other computer company. They are very reliable and the Apple support team it great. Plus The macbook gives you the option to run Vista or XP if you like windows. And it runs windows better than any other computer. I have Vista installed on my mac, It has never given me any issues whatsoever in the year that I've had it, while a very hi quality HP with Vista crashed several times in the week i put up with it. In regards to running programs. It runs well. It comes with everything you need to get started making dvds or cds, listening to music or whatever media things you want to do. Regardless Macbook is a great choice I encourage you pursue it. You will not regret it. Good luck.
