can someone tell me how to fix a dc jack on my gateway solo 3150 laptop?

i have an old gateway solo 3150 laptop and the dc jack is broken. i can open it up and move it to were i can get it to turn on but it will not charge the battery. If someone could please tell me how to fix this myself, or someone who can do it for me for cheap. I dont want to spend a lot of money because many places charge more then its worth. help please, thanks

1. Take it to a qualified professional for repair. It is not user repairable.
2. The jack has to be re soldered back to the motherboard which is a very delicate operation. I think you have to use a cold soldering method to keep from destroying the surrounding motherboard components. I would do a search on u tube and look for a video on it.
