Can you put standard size parts in a Dell Optiplex Dx280 Slim Form Factor computers?

Thinking of buying a Dell Optiplex Slim Form Factor computer. I have parts from an hp I would like to use for upgrading purposes, will it work? Is buying a SFF a bad idea? Thanks!

1. depends on which parts, you may have trouble with a full height graphics card, power supply obviously wont fit ...it just depends, personally I despise the SFF computers, but then I am a gamer , and my case is all show.
