My Dell computer hit on the front, below to the power suit?
My son slided the computer chair, on the face of my dell computer right below the suit power (DELL icon). The machine chat off but i turned it on . "Then appears on the monitor this: A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. (umoutable_Boot_Volume) This message came after the accident If the computer was affected when my son hit it accidentally which part could be damaged? thanks

- It sounds to me that the hard drive is damaged from the sudden shock. It will need to be replaced.
- if it is your hardrive then before you replace it you can try to do a system restore ..which there is a 50\50 chance it could work
- what you'll have to do is check if nothing is loose, like the Wifi card or the RAM. that screen appears when there is a hardware or driver fault. If there is a error code, write it down, and type it into google, it will give you a good idea of were the problem/error is.
- it is your hard drive that is bad you can get a cheap hard drives and newegg.com or tigerdirect.com
