I'm a buying a new laptop and I wanna make sure that it can support the Sims3..which laptop should I purchase?

Yes they will both play it, im not going tor ead all of that... its copy and pasted ^^ try simplifying it to get more opinions, if budget is not a problem get the later model. also to help you make your own decision: dual core may be faster but uses more battery (yet you can disable one core in the bios or underclock them to save battery) - batter life may not even matter if your always using it at home or near a powerpoint. video cards also use alot of power.

3. The Sims 3 will work very well on both of them since Sims 3 is not considered as a 'intensive' game (like Crysis or GTA 4). If i am not wrong, the asus laptop at Bestbuy is cheaper and more value for money. However, the gateway laptop has a better graphics card (geforce 9800m gts) It depends on what kind of games you want to play. 4. ASUS, hands down. Honestly though before you spend all of that money look at a Mac, you can play Sims 3 on the Mac. Or you can put Windows on a Mac and it works in HighDef with any game you throw at it. I have a 2008 MacBook 13-inch. And the graphics are just wow! on both Windows and Mac OS X.
