Is there one universal charger for Gateway Laptops?

or are there specific chargers for each type of gateway laptop?

1. 80% of all gateway laptops have the same chargers plug but that doesn't necessarily mean you can use them interchangeably. The voltage of the charger matters because a gaming Gateway laptop might require a higher power output than say a basic Gateway laptop in which case you can fry the insides if you provide to much voltage. If the voltage of the charger you plan to use is close to the original than it's safe to go for it but if not I wouldn't. If you really need something to charge the laptop then there is a car charger made by Targus i beleive and that has a charger that works with laptops and adjusts its voltage, there's a charger that has a wall outlet jack and that goes into a device that puts that out as something that will fit into the car electricity jack so if you elimate that last little converter you should be able to plug that into your wall outlet no problem. You can also go online and get a power charger i'm sure. Hope this helps!
