These are the specifications. I am basically wondering whether i will be able to perform all of my preferred tasks without any trouble. Are there any parts of this computer which are sub-par? Are there any that i should replace straight away? Are there any specs which i have not listed that also help paint what type of PC this is? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank You Very Much.

- It's adequate... You should had bought at least a duo core.... But other then that it's good
- It looks good.
- Good except for the hard drive which has a relatively small capacity.
- you will have trouble gaming with current gen. games. However all other criteria is good...though watching vids on a 14.1 inch screen might be a little small unless it's just you watching.
- It sounds like you have a decent computer and you"ll be able to do all those tasks except gaming. If you want to play video games you"ll have to upgrade the computer parts. But its a lot of trouble upgrading so I would go and get a gaming computer if you want to play video games. A good video game computer would be a computer brand called alien ware. But its very costly.
- -The Sempron series of processor is entry level, therefore not very powerful. Gaming and Video rendering will be an issue -You would probably want more RAM. This computer can probably take another 1 or 2GB's. -If you store a lot of movies you'll probably want a bigger hard drive too. 160GB is good, but it will go fast, I have a 250GB hard drive and it was nearly used up after a few months. Not a huge deal since you can just delete some files to clear up some space Gaming will be very limited and video rendering will take a long time. Internet browsing, music listening/burning and probably even the telecommunication will be fine. Your Processor is the main issue, but it's definitely not cost effective to upgrade, you may as well exchange the computer if you can.
- Honestly, it would probably be a good idea to ask your question at the HP forums (compaq is owned by HP): http://www.hp-forums.com. It is a free service and will be able to answer a lot of your questions. You can also interact with a bunch of other users that can give you useful tips. Good luck!
