- what do you want? if youve got normal deskto case then you need ATX size motherboard (or microATX=mATX) if youve got one of those small cases youll need mATX only nothin else will fit in there
- well on my computer i press "crtl+atl+S" and it shows up all my numbers for computer product serial...all that i have HP also.
- The only place to get it would be straight from HP. It would probably be overpriced... The model number of your computer would probably be good enough for the parts department to sell you the right board. The part number may be stamped on it. Replacing the board with something similar "off the shelf" would probably be cheaper and higher quality. Get a micro ATX with the correct CPU socket type... make sure it uses the same memory and has all the features you want (built-in audio and video if you don't have separate cards installed). Check out Newegg.com for some great prices. You may have to stoop to eBay if you need an older style board that's no longer being sold elsewhere. You'd need a full install disk for your OS though... Any restore disc made to work with just your computer would no longer work.
