Can someone tell me the differences between these two laptops: Gateway® NV5810u or Gateway® NV5606u?

Gateway® NV5810u or Gateway® NV5606u. The NV5810 has 2 years warranty and uses an Intel Chip. The NV5606u only has 1 year warranty and uses AMD. Warranty does not really matter to me. Can someone please explain the advantages/disadvantages between the AMD and Intel chips used in these two laptops?

1. intel processors are usually alot faster than AMD. My old computer with 1.6ghz intel celeron M is about 30x faster than my friends 2.6 GHz DUAL CORE computer and his is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO slow, it takes about 4 minutes to get to logon screen
