Who makes better laptops, gateway or hp?

i have the chance to switch out my gateway m-6816 for an hp laptop that has slightly better stats, such as a better processor. should i do it?

7. gateway.i have a gateway desktop and laptop and they work fine.it might cost alot but its worth it.no offence to people who say hp but hp is cheap but it sucks and its not worth it.

9. I've only had desktops, but first I had a gateway and loved it, but that was a little bit ago. Currently I have a HP which I swore I never would, but I'm loving it so much more, I think HP has more practical and up to date features. So if that didn't help...it's a tough choice but my vote would be HP

16. Anyone I've ever talked to about computers has told me to stay away from Gateway...I've never bought one yet and I never plan to...I'd go for the switch...
17. Yes. Just make sure you don't get a celeron, get something a lil faster. Make sure you get a lot of RAM. Or your computer will become very slow very quickly. I promise.

21. hps have better speakers. if you want fancy, buy sony if you want durability, buy toshiba or lenovo
