1. I owned two. Took the second one back because the motherboard was non-functional when I got it home. They would not replace it, they wanted to send it for repairs, and by the time it would get back it would be outside of their return period. Their stuff is junk. The University I worked for blacklisted them because Gateway sent the university a bunch of computers that did not work. They used to be good, but I would not recommend buying from them now-adays. Buyer beware!
2. No. You will have problems getting support. I'd go DELL instead. Check out the ratings in the computer magazines and judge for yourself. Few companys use Gateway.
3. These days you will be happier with a Dell.
