what and where do i download BIOS? pc help!?

http://www.fixya.com/support/t2174169-acer_one_pc_notebook_black_screen i'm trying to reset the bios. i need help with the first part of the answer from this post. i'm trying to fix my laptop because the screen is black and won't work. but i need more info. because it they tell me to download the lates 'BIOS'. just read the answer on the link and tell me how to do the first part

1. the problem there is not the bios....it is the operating system download a new copy of you operating system like windows vista, xp, or windows 7 and it will work this time
