How can you tell which computer hardware is broken?

I don't know much about fixing hardware but know the basic parts like the mobo, hard disk, and others. I do not even know how to build a computer. Is there a specific error code or sound that the computer displays during a hardware failure?

1. In 80% of the time the only problem that might happen for a computer is the Hard Drive. Because Hard Drive is the only high speed moving part spinning at 5400RPM -15000RPM (depends on the type and model) and if you change the hard drive even after 5 years and put a new one, your computer might last longer. Other problems such as CPU fan or Power Supply Fan getting very dusty so the system could not breathe, that is another PC killer problem, So make sure your computer is always dust free.
