Gateway Parts

How can I get good computer parts for free, or at a low cost?

I am trying to build my own computer, and am a college student so money is definately an issue. Where can I get parts that are not cutting edge, but at least up to date? Are there computer dumps, places like that I can look? Any other tips? Thanks :)

  2. You can see if your college has a surplus store where they sell their old computers at a pretty discounted price. Or you can see if there is a computer repair shop (not best buy) and ask if they have some old hardware that they would like to part out for cheap
  3. Freecycle Craigs list Thrift stores Garage sales have fun hunting
