Can a wireless notebook (HP) print directly to a wireless printer (hp) without a wireless router or network?

We will be working in a small office on a part time basis. I have a HP notebook with built-in wireless capability. I need to be able to print to a wireless HP printer. I will be using the new 4G service here in Houston provided by clear. The service is via a USB device that plugs directly into the notebook. There is no router. thanks, Pat I just found this article on HP regarding creating an Ad Hoc (peer to peer) network. Any reason that this would not work?
