Anybody here KNOWLEDGEABLE about Laptops?
I have a HP Compaq 6735s http://www.computashack.com/catalog/images/hp-compaq-6730b-notebook-pc.jpg And it will not come on and I want to know if it is a new Adaptor is needed or a new Battery? When I plug the adaptor into the wall and press the power button on - it doesn't come on but the part where you plus the adaptor pin into the laptop it flashes when I press the power button on. Does anybody here know if it is a new adaptor that is needed or a new battery that is needed? Cheers @ Frosty - errr my adaptor never had a flashflight on it before? the light I am speaking about is you know when you plug the pin INTO the side of the laptop and in the out circle bit the light will go on. well when i press the POWER button it will flash for like a few seconds then stop but won't come on like if your laptop battery is not charged. So from that Info what do you think? I hope it is JUST the adaptor cos battery price is expensive and as a guy heading to Uni in Sep need all the pennys I can get! Maybe I will have to sleep with that white chick Cheryl Cole and sell it to a paper and make a bit of money from it =) hahahaa @ Frosty - ='( it was working a few days ago but needed the charger plugged in all the time but now nothing ='( so you think it is a battery?? ='( FUCK YOU HAVE SOME BATTERY MONEY?? =( DAMN CHERYL COLE IS JUST LIKE THE POLICE WHEN YOU WANT THEM NOT AROUND AND WHEN YOU DON'T WANT THEM THEY SHOW UP AND GIVE US A BUNCH OF SH^T! My warrenty ran out a month ago! OH MAN!!!!!!!!!! ='( HELP ME MAN!!!!!!!!

- It should come with everything included. Return it and get a new one.
- erm more info needed like how this started etc. is the adaptor light working? like when you plug it into the socket? if it isnt its the adaptor. if it is its something else. worse case is that its something internal like, motherboard etc. but battery's are fucking expensive too edit righttt. If its in warrently id do what sefy said. i think i know what you mean. that does sound like the battery but USUALLY as long as your adaptor is plugged in it should work so maybe not. Its too bad since you need the money, know how that is but you might have to get it professionally fixed. Its always good to know a PC/laptop guy. PS 1st year? apply for every grant you can! 1st year i didnt apply for all, 2nd i did and got 1000, for books. fucking books lol EDIT2: yeah sounds like the battery for sure. even if it isnt, needing to have it plugged in always means a new battery anyway lol. U IZ FOOKED. sorry, know how shit it is when this thing happens. My adaptor broke last month or 2 back. went thru so much shit getting a replacement, end up costing me 60quid and batterys are more. Try not to cheap out on a replacement too. Cheap now but expensive down the line
- Same thing happened to my cousin's laptop we called HP they sent us a box and we shipped it in got it 2 weeks later fixed. It was free since it had been less than a year
- try asking this in the Computer section, you'll get better answers
- I used to own an Acer laptop, and I still do but it's not the same one..it happens to be my second Acer laptop actually, well my first one had the same problem. I had everything plugged in but it still won't turn on and it turned out that there was something wrong with both the battery and the adapter. I had to buy a new adapter for it to turn on again which I was very grateful for although there was still a problem with the battery itself. If I had pulled the adaptor plug and left the laptop hanging for a few minutes, it'd shut off, it wouldn't stay on for 2 minutes without a charger. I just really felt the need to buy a new one, the older one was getting old and sometimes I wouldn't have the adapter around and needed it to stay working for a couple of minutes but it wouldn't so I ended up buying a new one and guess what? It has the same god damn problem.
- Its the Adaptor, you can get one called Universal Adaptor and it works on ANY Laptop on earth,it costs 150$ here in USA but its a sexy good adaptor. If ur saying that it flashes then its 100% not the Battery but the Adapter, because it wouldnt flash or do ANYTHING at all if the problem was from the Battery in the Laptop. but yeah all u need is new Adapter, get the Universal one because trust me it is the best and it will stay with u til after you die, even though its expensive. also before you do anything try to plug the charger in a different outlet because sometimes the charger doesnt work on one outlet but works on a different one. btw not any adaptor will work on ur laptop u can either get the Universal one or the SAME EXACT one you got when u bought the computer. you can get the Universal one in electronics stores or online but if u want to get the cheap a$$ adaptor that u already had then u can only buy it online because they dont sell adaptors for certain laptops in stores.
