Can I install an i7 mobile processor in my Gateway P-7917u FX?

I have a Gateway P-7917u FX with Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 / 2.53 GHz full specifications here http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/gateway-p-7917u-fx/1707-3121_7-33958875.html I can't find anywhere whether or not I can install an i7 mobile processor in it. Particularly this mobile processor. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819111018&cm_re=i7_processor-_-19-111-018-_-Product Help? So is there anything I can do like get the compatible motherboard for the laptop or something?

2. 1) you cannot upgrade the processor in a pre-built laptop. They're usually soldered onto the motherboard. 2) The Core i series processors uses a different socket than the Core 2 series. So even if you can replace the processor, it won't work.
3. It will be cheaper to buy a new laptop.
