I have a gateway Solo 5300 laptop with Windows XP.When I opened my internet browser it took longer than before?

What happened to my Internet Explorer Browser? Lately, it has been taking an unusually longer time to launch as much as four minutes. I am very much concerned. Can you help me?

1. Try using Firefox instead. I also had that problem with firefox though, but because I had low Ram, you might want to also check to see how much you have if firefox does it also. Check your ram: 1. Control Panel 2. (in classic view) System
