My laptop will not charge unless I push in the cord very hard?
I have a Gateway M-Series laptop and it wont stay on charge unless i hold the cord in very hard. Is there anything I can do to fix it where I don't have to push in hard for it to charge?

- Basically the cord is broken/worn so you will have to get another one, this is happening to me at the moment :(
- Either the connector on the end of the core or the connector to the laptop is damaged. You can usually tell which by looking closely or, if you have one, testing with another power adapter. If it's the power brick, the simplest solution is to buy a cheap clone charger ($20-$35). If it's the laptop, someone will have to open up the laptop and resolder the connector.
- the chord is broken, you can look on ebay for a replacement, just type in your laptops brand and model then charger
- Pretty much i's broken, my suggestion.. take it to your local computer repair store, see what they can do for you. Or you can call a help hotline for gateways. visit www.technologyhelpline.com or call 1-866-414-7388 good luck(:
- buy a new charger- there should be some cheap ones on ebay
