Which parts of a computer hardware can get damaged because of improper shutdowns?
For the last few weeks, my computer, mainly owing to voltage fluctuations, had been shutting down. It used to happen for about ten times everyday. And now it has got damaged. It just won't start up. So which parts do u think could've got damaged? I have a graphics card For the last few days, it used to shut down whenever i used to play any high requirement game

- The only thing an improper shutdown might damage is the hard drive, if it was being written to when it happened, as the file system could be corrupted. The voltage fluctuations are another matter, and can definitely damage electronics.
- could be lots of things, hardrive, motherboard, psu, I am assuming there is no power as you didnt say. Take a look at the link below for more help.
- sounds like you have over heating problem. corruption of start up files may be your main difficulty. as for hardware a spike in the "voltage" can damage a number of things. always use a power surge protector.
- hard drive
- When it first began, why did you not RUN to the store and get another PSU (Power Supply Unit). IF you are sure it was the cause. Now there may be other factors, HDD - Hard Disk Drive, Motherboard - MoBo, Registry, Total Failure of PSU, etc. Try another PSU first, if you still have problems, re-install the OS (Operating System - Windows), the MoBo may be damaged too or the HDD. Hard to say. You might get a techie to do a diagnostic on it, then you'll be certain. ;-)
