  1. Change your processor into the most latest one to make it more faster. Also the video card you can change it and make it more bigger to make browsing faster in loading images. If necessary you can change your battery too so that you can carry it where ever you wanted. Please visit http://driverofsoundcard.com/news/
  2. The only parts you can upgrade on that laptop are the RAM and the 2.5" hard drive (probably a PATA / IDE type). Nothing else. If you live within Metro, take it to the IT Center complex at corner Gilmore St. and Aurora Blvd. There are lots of surplus 333 MHz DRAM (SDRAM) there. Max it out to 2GB. As for the hard drive, if you want to get a bigger capacity drive, ask them to clone your existing drive so you will retain everything that is currently installed. Don't dispose your old hard drive. You can buy an external USB hard drive enclosure for less than 300 and use it as backup: http://www.cdrking.com/?mod=products&type=category&subcatid=75&main=33 The laptop doesn't seem to have MS Office. If you are not going to buy one, you can get the free OpenOffice: http://www.openoffice.org/ By the way, get rid of the Norton AV 2006. It is most likely expired and useless. Replace it with the free Microsoft Security Essentials: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/ Edit: Don't believe what Nilyn said. He doesn't know what he's talking about.
