Narrowed it down to two laptops?
Lol. I have the two final choices. Thanks for all the help. I'm not very educated about laptops so all the help is appreciated. I've ruled out the toshiba. The Gateway is 100 bucks cheaper, but also has some bad reviews which makes me a little bit queezy. The Dell looks like a safe bet, but it also costs 100 more and some say the Gateway is even better. I'm not particularly excited about the looks on either of the computers, but obviously it's not how it looks. I won't be saving a lot of stuff on the laptop -used for web browsing, netflix, essays, etc. so I won't need a huge HD. Thanks again for all the help and here are the laptops. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Gateway+-+Laptop+/+AMD+Turion%26%23153%3B+II+X2+Processor+/+15.6%22+Display+/+4GB+Memory+/+500+GB+Hard+Drive+-+Velvet+Blue/1250655.p?id=1218242897223&skuId=1250655#BVRRWidgetID or http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olstemplatemapper.jsp?id=1218247184996&type=product Getting confused lol. Two answers on the speed which contradict each other...

- go with the gateway it has a faster processor
- my choice would be Dell - Inspiron Laptop / IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® Processor / 14" Display / 4GB Memory / 500GB Hard Drive - Mars Black: it is much faster than the other omputer you chose which is an AMD, which in todays market are slower compared to long time ago.
- I am still obstinate with my answer, I'd recommend the dell. It's lighter giving you more mobility and it has a longer battery life compared to the gateway. Both of them have the same hard drive size, and same networking card. You should think of the outcomes (long-term wise) go with the dell, for future issues that may crop up you may contact dell because they are really supportive in handling computer issues. Go for the dell!
- To start off, both computers have the same amount of RAM and Hard Drive Space. The Gateway has a better Graphics Card and is cheaper. The Gateway has a larger screen as well. While the processors are different I personally like Intel, which the Dell has. The Gateway also has better speakers which is a good thing since you want to watch movies. But then again there is the fact that the dell has a larger battery life. Also Gateway has been known to have terrible customer support. I would say if you want Specs go with Gateway, if you want quality go with Dell. The advantages the Gateway has is not much. Also Dell's Customer Support is better. What happens if the Gateway broke? I dont think Gateway would help according to the reviews... I had trouble too looking for a laptop. I went with a Macbook because Apple has really good quality. In the end its up to you. I hope I helped and Good Luck!
