Help with replacing parts on my computer?

Its a GateWay, Desktop. What are some basic, cheap parts that I can replace that will make it run faster?

1. memory jack it up to about 1 or 2 gigs that is about all you can do for around 40 bucks, its simply easy and works wonders. go to memory4less or some memory site and search for your computer and it should tell you the kind it takes.
2. Increase the size of Ram. Change Graphic card and download reginout. It is the finest recipe for making computer fast.
