Are Gateway laptops good quality?

Are Gateway laptops good quality? Are they reliable, not including any specs are Gateway laptops good in general?

1. Well they are reputed to be the worst on the market, so im afraid not.
2. they use the well known components, and as a subsidiary of acer since about 2007 I suspect they use acer motherboards.Have not noticed very many complaints on here
