How often do you get a new (notebook) computer?
I normally buy a new computer every two years to keep up with technology, parts availability, and reliability. Is that too soon to replace?

- Hi Generally .. i change my laptop every 6/7 monthz... No itz ok.. updated wid nu technology... :-)) Regards
- Unless the device is having issues yes. If you are keeping up with Technology you are spending about 1500 every two years on a system that should be perfectly fine for 3 to 5 years. Now if you are spending $600 every two years, you aren't even keeping up with technology there, you are buying a system that was top of the line 12 month before, if not top of the line when you bought the last computer, this system should still last about 3 years. This goes for desktops as well as laptops, buying too often is just a waste of money.
- it really depends on the type of computer you buy because some computers last Alot longer well others need to be replaced every year it depends if your computer is ok you can upgrade it and wait on buying a new one but if you want to buy one buy a good computer that lasts and is upgrade able
- Laptops are 2 to 3 years and PC's are 3 to 4 years as far as functionally. Laptops are generally a year behind PC's. The only reason to change sooner is or would be due to a software/game requiring new hardware like the game BF3 reguires DX 10.1 or 11 causing many to upgrade early
