Are a Gateway and Antec computers hardware compatible?
I have a Antec computer with a fried hard drive. I have a old Gateway with 200 gigs of Hard Drive space. The only problem is it has 300MB of RAM and a horrible graphics card. I was wondering if it would be possible to take the graphics card and switch the RAM out of my Antec and put it in my Gateway... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

- Not likely, the RAM in your ancient Gateway is probably DDR and the RAM in the Antec could be DDR2 or the latest DDR3
- Brand is less important than type. Do both computers have the same type of hard drive (both IDE/ATA, or both SATA)? Do both computers use the same type of RAM (DDR, DDR2, DDR3)? Do both computers have the same slot for the graphics card (PCI, AGP, PCIe)? Whether or not it is Antec or Gateway has no bearing on being able to swap out parts.
